Parent Association

The Parent Association is the heart and soul of Hollywood Schoolhouse. Every parent is a part of our Parent Association, led by an Executive Board that works hard to foster a parent community that matches the spirit and camaraderie of our faculty, staff, and student body. They meet monthly to plan events, give back to Hollywood Schoolhouse and the community at large, and find innovative ways to connect parents across grade levels. They enrich our program by welcoming new families, by acting as ambassadors to fellow parents, and by modeling volunteerism for our students.

The Parent Association encourages all parents to find a way to get involved in the Schoolhouse community, and there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to do just that. From volunteering in the Library or Community Garden to helping with the Book Fair or next big community event, all parents are invited to sign up to participate as they are able.

We ask that each parent signs up to volunteer at least one hour of their time throughout the year, as our goal is to have every family volunteer some time, whether big or small, each year. We value any time contributed to Hollywood Schoolhouse’s continued success.

Hollywood Schoolhouse believes in the importance of being civically engaged members of our community, and the Parent Association works year-round to provide opportunities for parents and students to come together in service to the community around us. There are many opportunities for every Schoolhouse family to become more actively engaged members of the Hollywood community.

The most significant fundraising event of the Parent Association’s year is the Spring Gala. By purchasing tickets, donating auction items, and volunteering, we encourage the entire Schoolhouse community to come together in support of this event that is a time-honored Schoolhouse tradition and important event championing Tuition Assistance at HSH.
