IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Below is everything you need to know about extended care and enrichment classes.

Please read this carefully!

As a reminder, dismissal times are as follows:

ECE (3:00-4:00 PM)

K-2 (3:00-3:15 PM)

3-6 (3:15-3:30 PM)

Elementary students have a “grace period” until 3:45PM. Beginning at 3:46 PM, HSH will begin charging families who are not already enrolled in an enrichment class or the musical. The rate is $5.00 for every 15 minutes. Price for extended care is capped at $525.00 per month. In other words, you will never be charged more than that amount per month for extended care. You do not need to “enroll” for extended care.

ECE after school program will run from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. The rate is $5.00 for every 15 minutes. If you would like your ECE child to stay in after-school childcare and have not already completed the ECE After School Google form, please do so here. If your child has already been participating in after school childcare, there is no need for you to resubmit a form.

* Please note: All children must be off campus by 6:00 PM sharp. If your child is not picked up prior to this time, there will be a mandatory fee of $3.00 per minute. If there is an emergency and you cannot pick up your child by 6:00PM, you should call the school office immediately!

This information will be updated for the new school year ASAP.

Students who are choosing to participate in the musical must commit to the rehearsals on the assigned days, as it is an endeavor that requires commitment and practice.

  • Grades 2 & 3 have rehearsal on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Grades 4-6 have rehearsal on Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • Grades 2-6 have rehearsal on Fridays.
No, as there is no need. You can simply let your child stay after school for extended care, and you will be billed at $5.00 for every 15 minutes. The cost is capped at $525.00 per month. You will never be charged more than that per month for extended care.

No, unless you pick up your child after class ends. For example, if your child’s class ends at 5:00PM, and you are not here at that time, we will begin charging you at 5:01PM in 15-minute increments. All children must be picked up by 6:00PM.

You will NOT be charged for the time before an after-school class begins OR the time in between classes if your child has signed up for two after-school enrichment classes. There will be a small amount already included in the class fee to cover supervision costs and snacks.

Extended care has several full-time staff members to supervise children. A room for homework will be provided. Children will be able to play outside and play with board games, blocks, etc. We will have some snacks available for children who may forget or want one. We do recommend packing an extra snack for your child in case they do not like what is available.

Children will be logged based on the time that they are picked up. Billing will be submitted each week to your FACTS account for the week prior.

No. If a sibling is in an after-school class, sports practice/games, and/or music rehearsal on a specific day, then there will be no charge for the child who is not enrolled. Both children must be picked up after the class ends, though, or they will each be charged for extended care.

No. If your child is receiving private tutoring with a staff member, you will not get charged for the time that they are in their session. However, if you do not pick up your child after the session ends, you will be charged at the rate provided (i.e., $5 for every 15 minutes).

If an enrichment class is canceled, then you will be refunded for that class. You will then be charged for extended care instead ($5.00 for every 15 minutes).

Our Business Office will issue reimbursements after the entire session is over. You will receive a check from the school.

If you enroll and pay the registration, you are officially registered. If a class has reached its limit, the system will not allow you to enroll. We will also send out emails to families confirming enrollment.

If we don’t have enough children to run a class, we will cancel it. You will be notified via email.

There is NO registration for regular extended care. You may simply allow your child to stay after school, and you will be charged accordingly.
