Amy Rush Conroy

Year I Joined HSH: 2021

Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Education: UCLA, Sociology B.A.; San Francisco State University, Anthropology with a specialization in Archaeology, M.A.

Why HSH? HSH is a neighborhood school. It reflects Los Angeles and helps shape Los Angeles, which is something very important to me. These kids will go on to influence the world with their thoughts and creations, and there seems nothing more important.

What causes or non-profits do you support and why? I ride in the Tour de Pier every year to raise money and awareness for The Uncle Kory Foundation, which supports brain cancer research.

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you? I love Mayan archaeology and the smell of the jungle!

What piece of advice would you give to a graduating sixth grader? Trust your gut – you always know what is right and best for YOU.
