Family is such a vital and valuable part of life. Whether it is the immediate family we see every day or the extended family we may not see in person that often, the support and love that a family network provides is unparalleled. When we at HSH get to meet members of your family that we do not see every day, it is wonderful to experience your child’s excitement as they tour that family member around the school and bring them into their everyday world.

I am looking forward to welcoming many of your grandparents and special friends to our campus this Friday! As you may remember from years past, the day will begin with a Community Circle, after which our guests will visit their students’ classrooms and get to see more of campus life. Our school day will end early at 11:15 AM, at which time we will send everyone off for a wonderful Thanksgiving break.

Please remember that this is primarily an experience for those who do not get to see the special child in their life on campus often, and that our campus space is limited. For that reason, if you do not have a grandparent or special friend that is able to attend the celebration, and if you wish to have someone on campus for your child, we ask that a maximum of one parent accompany your HSH student on this day. It is not a requirement that all students bring a guest, and often we share special friends and grandparents, so do not worry if someone can’t join us. We will be there for your child.
