Seventy-five years look great on you, and you wear it with pride and dignity! What a journey!
Since joining the HSH community in 2018, I have learned many valuable lessons that have been essential to my personal and professional growth. Many staff members, parents, and students welcomed me with open arms! I remember nervously walking into the school for my interview, and the first person I ran into was Danisha Abdul-Jabbaar, who is now the PA Co-President; she told me, “you’re going to do great!” I knew then that this community would support me all the way through!
One of the things I love most about Hollywood Schoolhouse is indeed its fearless curiosity as a community. Collectively, Hollywood Schoolhouse works to implement innovative ways of learning, exploring, and applying meaningful lessons to understand and support surrounding communities. I am most intrigued by the community service and passion this school has for giving back to many community members that are not as fortunate.
As I reflect on the greatness of Hollywood Schoolhouse, I think about how much I have grown. Being at Hollywood Schoolhouse has not only taught me how to be a fearless teacher, but it has also taught me how to be a fearless learner, leader, and innovator within my surrounding community. Happy 75th Anniversary Hollywood Schoolhouse, and I wish you many many more!
