Vannessa Gonzalez

Ms. Vannessa grew up in Rosemead, CA, and is the middle child of five. She graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology, and a double minor in Applied Developmental Psychology (ADP) and Chicano Studies. It was during her senior year in college while interning at a preschool that she discovered her passion for teaching and realized she wanted to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. She joined the HSH community soon after graduating from UCLA, while also attending Cal State Northridge where she received her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.

Entering her eleventh year as a Preschool Teacher at HSH, Ms. Vannessa feels incredibly lucky to be a part of this close-knit community. She has such a passion for teaching this age group, and finds it very rewarding building relationships with the children while being their learning partner and facilitator in their development. She strives to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment, where each day is filled with inspired learning and fearless curiosity!

In her spare time, Ms. Vannessa enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, going to concerts, and watching movies.
