Early Childhood
Penguins, Lead Teacher

Lucile Herrera

Ms. Lucile joined the Schoolhouse community in 2008 as a Teacher’s Assistant. Born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, Lucile studied Early Childhood Education and received her teaching credentials at Pasadena City College. In 2013, Lucile was promoted to Lead Teacher for the Penguin classroom where she strives to create a nurturing environment in which children feel secure, encouraged, and are motivated to explore and learn.

Her genuine love and passion for working with children began at a very young age while volunteering at different elementary schools during her middle school years and working at our very own afterschool program shortly after high school. She has years of experience working alongside children and training through various workshops and seminars. Entering her ninth year with Hollywood Schoolhouse, Lucile enjoys watching children learn and grow while encouraging their development as responsible, loving, and respectful children.

In her spare time, Lucile enjoys running, cooking, reading, and cheering on her favorite sports team. (Go Dodgers!)
