Hometown: Springfield, IL
Education: Columbia College Chicago, B.A. English
Why HSH? There is a strong sense of community at HSH among staff, students, and families. The small class sizes allow each child to be known, supported, and appreciated for who they are as an individual. The campus itself feels like an oasis in the middle of Hollywood, and I feel grateful to be able to work here every day.
What causes or non-profits do you support and why? I support The Jed Foundation because I believe our youth need support through the mental health challenges of childhood, young adulthood, and beyond.
What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you? I used to be a journalist.
What piece of advice would you give to a graduating sixth grader? Don’t let social media define you or rule your life.
