Alonda Casselle

Ms. Alonda is our Assistant Head of School at Hollywood Schoolhouse. Alonda comes to us with over 12 years of experience in elementary education. Over the last 7 years she has held leadership positions as Grade Level Lead, Dean of Culture/After School Program Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Dean of Faculty and Students.

Prior to joining Hollywood Schoolhouse family in 2016, she spent 6 years working for KIPP LA Schools. During that time, she dedicated her energy towards the school community that included leading professional development sessions, curriculum planning, managing and evaluating staff performance, and leading parent leadership committees.

She received her B.A. in Liberal Studies with a minor in Children’s Theater from California State University Northridge and a M.A. in Education from Pepperdine University.

Her educational career has been geared toward the empowerment of school children. She has a strong passion to educate young minds and to help students blossom into well-rounded, responsible, and successful individuals. Throughout her career, she has had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those with learning disabilities, English language learners, those who performed at grade level, and those who were performing above grade level. Her greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating students. She wholeheartedly believes that all students can learn, given a positive, safe, and joyous learning environment.

In her free time, Alonda enjoys the art of fashion by shopping and contributing to an online fashion blog, reading, brunch, and spending time with family and friends.

Her motto is: No matter what the change or challenging situation, always keep your students and staff best interests in mind.
