Nichole is thrilled to be joining the Hollywood Schoolhouse community! She brings ten years of experience directing young singers and developing standards-based curriculum for public school music programs. Nichole attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where she earned her degree and teaching credential in music education. Upon graduating, she began teaching a K-5 general music and choral program in the Braintree Public School District. During her time in Braintree, Nichole also worked as a private vocal instructor for The Real School of Music; a local private lesson academy focused on contemporary music. At Real School, she was integral in the development of teaching curriculum school-wide, and directed numerous workshops focused on musical theater, as well as live performance.
In 2014, Nichole relocated to California and became a teaching artist for P.S. Arts; a non-profit organization providing arts education to students in under-served communities throughout Los Angeles. Assigned to a school district in the Hawthorne area, she developed a program from the ground-up for students in grades 3-5, and created an after school choral program for students in grades 6-8. After three years she began working directly for the district and began to spearhead interdisciplinary arts projects, creating an integrated fine arts program in the elementary schools. In addition to her school teaching, Nichole was a member of the voice and piano faculty of Hills Academy of Music, Art and Dance in Torrance, where she prepared students for the Royal Academy of Music Performance and Theory Examinations as well as annual recitals.
Nichole aims to instill a lifelong love and appreciation for the arts in all of her students and cannot wait to share her experience and passion with HSH students.
