Ms. Nicole was born and raised in Los Angeles. As an only child, she spent most of her childhood getting lost in books and reading cereal boxes. In 2013, Nicole received a BA in English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing from UCLA. Throughout college, she volunteered as a Camp Kesem counselor and participated in Reading Partners, a tutoring organization dedicated to fostering a love for reading in our youths.
Her last 4 years have been spent teaching, learning, and growing at Hollywood Schoolhouse. She looks forward to days filled with inquiry, imagination, innovation, and inspiration. According to Rita Pierson, “Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be.” She shares that same philosophy.
When not at HSH, Nicole enjoys eating Chinese food while watching dateline re-runs, planning trips, spending time with her family, and journaling quotes. Her favorite quote is by John Wooden: “Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation.”
