Esmeralda Gonzalez

Esmeralda Gonzalez was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Hollywood High School. She is starting her third year at California State University, Los Angeles and is majoring in Early Childhood Education. Esmeralda joined the Schoolhouse in 2014 as a Pool Assistant and Swim Instructor for the Swim Academy program. In 2015, Esmeralda joined the ECE Division as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Penguins.

Prior to joining to Hollywood Schoolhouse, Esmerelda would volunteer in afterschool programs at her old Elementary school. She was part of the Tree Hugger Club at her high school, which consisted of planting trees, visiting community gardens, and beach cleanups. Since a young age, Esmeralda has enjoyed being around younger children and is very devoted and passionate about helping children and their families. Every child should feel safe, loved, and comfortable when attending school, which is what Esmeralda, and everyone at Hollywood Schoolhouse wants for their students.

In her spare time, she enjoys visiting museums with her nieces, reading new books, and loves getting her nails done.
